The founder's vision – the pursuit of the ideal shaving experience

OneBlade was born from a desire to redefine shaving and deliver a new experience. Its story begins when founder Porter Stansberry had the perfect shave in a small barber shop in Rimini, Italy.
After that , I tried countless commercial products, but none of them were anywhere near my ideal; they were either too harsh on my skin or left some areas unshaved, and I was never satisfied with any of them.
Irritated skin, razor burn, and most importantly, a sense of wasted time made shaving a painful experience rather than a comfortable one.

So Porter decided to create his own shaver that would provide the best shaving experience, and together with Todd Barrett and his renowned design team, they embarked on a project to develop the world's best shaver.

OneBlade 's design philosophy - Designing without regard for cost

The first decision we made in designing OneBlade was to ignore cost . Designing with cost in mind stifles free thinking and prevents innovative products from being produced.

With performance as our number one priority, we invested over 1,000 prototypes and over $ 1 million to create a product that didn't compromise, and we spent years iterating on design and testing materials to create a shaver that not only performs like no other, but is also beautifully designed.

A history of innovation – a crystallization of technology and passion

The biggest feature of OneBlade is its revolutionary single-blade design, which breaks industry standards. Compared to conventional multi-blade shavers, OneBlade uses just one blade to achieve a close shave while minimizing stress on the skin.

The patented Active Floating Blade System ( AFBS ) head mechanism overturns the conventional wisdom that " safety razor blades must be fixed, " a concept that has existed in the shaver industry for over 120 years. Rather than fixing the blade, AFBS allows for an extremely small amount of blade slack and controls it.
Furthermore, a pivoting head is used to improve contact with the skin during shaving and prevent missed spots. The head moves while following the shaving motion, maintaining appropriate pressure, minimizing stress on the skin and achieving a comfortable shave.
